01Meeting the game

Discovery

These programmes are for children aged 6 to 7. The aim of Discovery is for a child to meet the game and learn its basic skills in a safe environment, free of pressure and competition — every player has a ball of their own for the whole session. Parents are welcome to join in some of the games, which builds a child's confidence and helps them settle into training. Along the way a player gains a wider range of movement and better balance, develops social skills, and learns a set of fundamental football skills.

02The fundamentals

Foundation

These programmes are for young players aged 8 to 10. The aim of Foundation is for a child to learn the fundamentals of football through small-sided games they enjoy, while developing the muscular and neural coordination behind their movement. Sessions are designed to suit every player in the group, so everyone has a chance to learn and improve, and we build the social skills the game asks for — teamwork, sportsmanship and self-belief.

03Development and competition

Recreational and competitive

Several programmes for ages 10 to 17, across every level of ability. The recreational programmes are for beginners building their technique — a good place to start, in an environment built around enjoyment and progress, focused on dribbling, control, turning, disguise, movement and passing. The competitive programmes accelerate the development of talented players through training at a competitive standard, forming a squad that represents the academy in local tournaments, with regular fixtures against clubs in the region and other football academies.
